Advocate for Equity
AAUW Duluth works to turn ideas into action.
AAUW has a long history of advocacy for women’s educational, economic, and civic opportunities. Our branch brings that work into the Twin Ports through education, public-policy engagement, community partnerships, and opportunities for members to learn about and act on issues of gender equity.
Advocacy can take many forms: learning about an issue, attending a public meeting, contacting elected officials, participating in a community conversation, sharing reliable information, or working collectively for change.
Learn. Connect. Act.
Scholarships & Educational Opportunities
Education has long been central to AAUW Duluth’s work.
The branch awards scholarships to support area women pursuing post-baccalaureate education. The number and amount of awards varies from year to year depending on available funds.
The branch also has supported local students’ participation in AAUW’s National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL), which provides leadership development, networking, and educational opportunities for college students.
Our scholarship work is made possible through the generosity of members, friends, donors, and community supporters.
