Engage

Engage with AAUW Duluth

There are many ways to be part of AAUW Duluth.

Some members come to hear a speaker or participate in a discussion. Others organize an event, lead a focus group, support a scholarship fundraiser, or help with branch projects.

You can participate regularly or occasionally. You can take on a leadership role or contribute a particular skill. You can join an existing activity—or help us create something new.

Gather

AAUW Duluth has traditionally offered a variety of informal gatherings and discussion groups that give members opportunities to connect, learn, and exchange ideas.

Current and recent activities have included:

  • Book Club
  • Lunch Bunch
  • Round Table
  • Zeitgeist
  • Other member-led groups and activities

Some groups have changed over time, and new ones emerge as members’ interests change.

Hear & Learn

AAUW Duluth regularly brings speakers, panelists, and community leaders into conversation with members.

Past programming has included speakers and panels addressing leadership, public policy, women’s experiences, education, community issues, and other topics relevant to AAUW’s mission.

The branch’s 2023 Northland Gathering, for example, brought together nearly 70 participants for a program focused on women leaders, with speakers from academia, local government, ministry, law, entrepreneurship, and STEM.
